Covent Garden apartment refurbishment

The new owner of this apartment, a Paris-based fashion designer, wanted a complete refurbishment of the property. The brief was to create a high-specification apartment, with décor in shades of grey and white, and with grey porcelain tile floors throughout. To achieve perfectly flat and level floors we stripped out the existing floors, and fitted a new subfloor to the joists. At the same time we installed a Wedi non-step soundproofing system and under-tile heating throughout.

Some walls were removed to open up the living areas and new corniceds fitted in the living area and bedrooms. All walls and ceilings were plastered and decorated to the highest possible standard of finish.

The large en-suite and smaller bathrooms had bespoke one-piece stone shower trays, with toughened glass panels and high spec fittings. The new minimalist kitchen was fitted with grey stone worktop.

The bedrooms were completely refitted, with new wardrobes with full-height handle-less doors, and a set of drawers fitted internally. New electrics and plumbing were installed throughout.

This was an enjoyable project where we worked closely with the owner and our design team created designs and details based on his ideas, delivering a complete refurbishment to meet his requirements.
